Christ the King offers a number of groups aimed at men and women during different phases of life to bring parishioners together to share faith and fellowship. These groups provide a chance to meet others who share common experiences and provide one another with a sense of community support and encouragement.
“It is essential to our mission that we strive to abide so attentively together that people will observe: 'See how they love one another.' We will then be a sign in an alienated world: men who have, for love of their Lord, become closest neighbors, trustworthy friends, brothers.” —Constitutions of the Congregation of Holy Cross (4.42)
St. Gianna's Moms Group
St. Gianna's Moms Group meets on the second Tuesday of each month in the Fr. Tripi Room from 9:30 until 10:45 AM. At our meetings, moms gather to share community, grow in faith, and discuss various topics. Friends and guests are always welcome! Childcare is provided free of charge to all moms. This is a wonderful opportunity to get to know other young moms from the parish and for children to spend time with their peers. If you are interested in this group, please email stgianna@sbctk.com, and find out more through the St. Gianna's Moms Group Facebook page.
That Man Is You
That Man Is You (TMIY) meets on Saturday mornings at 7:00 AM during the school year in the Fr. Tripi Room. TMIY gathers men for presentations and fellowship, seeking to provide accompaniment to them and their families on the pathway to holiness. TMIY honestly addresses the pressures and temptations that men face in our modern culture, especially those relating to their roles as husbands and fathers. The program harmonizes current social and medical science with the teachings of the Church and the wisdom of the saints to develop the vision of man fully alive. The group is open to all men of the parish, but friends and guests are also welcome to check us out. Please contact Kevin Kaufhold for more information.

Surviving Hearts
Surviving Hearts is a community specifically focused on the needs of parishioners who have lost spouses. It is not a bereavement group, but rather a vibrant community of parishioners who gather the first Thursday of each month for a brunch following daily Mass. The time spent together in meals and fellowship is a celebration of community, an opportunity to learn more about the upcoming events of the parish, and an encouragement to remain connected to the local community. Meeting dates and locations are announced in the bulletin.

Surviving Divorce
Marriage is meant to last a lifetime. Most engaged couples approach their wedding days fully believing and intending this. Sadly, however, too many hearts and homes end up experiencing the pain of divorce. This often brings about unexpected and unimaginable heartache, questions, and challenges. Is healing possible? Yes! That's the good news this program offers.
Surviving Divorce was created to bring hope and healing to those who have experienced the pain and loneliness of a broken marriage. It is for the newly separated and divorced as well as those still struggling with issues many years later. It will help them answer their questions, restore hope, and begin authentic healing. Developed and written by Rose Sweet, an author, and speaker on divorce, annulment, and remarriage, Surviving Divorce is a 12-week program from Ascension Press facilitated by parishioners who have experienced divorce themselves and are dedicated to accompanying others going through similar circumstances.
Surviving Divorce will help individuals work through the emotional upheaval of separation and divorce, find personal healing and hope, discover a deeper understanding of God's love for them, and gain wisdom and comfort from experts and others who share their experiences.
Check the bulletin for announcements regarding future dates. If you are interested in this group, please email divorceministry@sbctk.com.
