This weekend is our annual Time & Talent Sunday for the church and the school. Every year at this time, we ask parishioners to complete a Time & Talent Form so that they can discern the ways in which they feel called to serve the parish in the coming year. It’s a chance to recommit to existing ministries, as well as to withdraw from some ministries and sign up for new ones. My hope is that this annual process gives people the chance to pray about where they feel the Lord is calling them in an intentional way.
I’d ask every family to complete a new Time & Talent Form in the coming weeks, even if you don’t anticipate any changes for the coming year. This form helps our Pastoral Team and the heads of our various ministries to have an accurate picture of the volunteers we have available, and it’s also important to help us identify areas where we don’t have as many volunteers as we need.
In the past we’ve always allocated time during Mass to complete and turn in these forms, but this year we’re not going to do that simply because most people choose to complete their forms at home after praying about it. There are many different options for retrieving this form to be printed and filled out:
· Print it from our website: https://sbctk.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/01/2023-24-Time-and-Talent-form-2.pdf . You can also scan a QR code below to print a form.
· Look for it on social media and our Saturday email.
· School families can look for the form in King’s News and the Communication Folder. (Please remember that all school families receiving Active Parishioner Status must have a current form on file each year.)
· Copies are in this weekend’s bulletin, extra copies are on the Welcome Desk, and also available at the Parish Office.
One of the many things that makes our parish so special is that we have so many talented parishioners who willingly donate these talents to glorify God and serve others, so please know of my deepest thanks for the many ways in which you already serve our parish.
