Since launching this past fall, our parish podcast (The CTK Communal Climb) has quickly become an important way for Christ the King to share in spiritual reflection and unite us as a community of faith. The CTK Communal Climb was designed with one simple goal in mind: to reach everyone in our parish family, no matter where they are or what their schedules look like, and encourage them to take one more step on the journey to Heaven. Life can get busy, and it’s not always easy to attend parish events or faith formation offerings, but this podcast offers a way to plug into our parish on your own time – and you are taking advantage of it!

So far, we have seen great fruit from the podcast! Many parishioners have graciously agreed to chat about a topic to share with the community, and still many others have tuned in to listen. As we look back on the podcast’s growth, we’re thrilled to see that many of you have engaged with it, streaming episodes more than 374 times and listening to over 95 consumption hours of content on Spotify alone. As episodes average 10-20 minutes in length and are released bi-weekly, this truly is an amazing testament to our parishioner’s desire to grow in faith and fellowship. It’s clear that this platform is filling a need for many people in our parish!

However, I’m not surprised that you’re listening, because these episodes are awesome! From reflections on the liturgical seasons to inspiring stories and inspiration from Scripture, there’s something for everyone to enjoy – even people in Germany, Canada, and Australia (who, combined, make up roughly 5% of our listeners)! Saint Gianna’s Mom’s Group even used the episode titled “Motherhood: Raising Catholic Kids” for a discussion at one of their meetings, using the podcast in a creative and beautiful way to continue the conversation.

My personal favorite thing about this podcast is not the accessible format or the list of wonderful topics we have the opportunity to chat about (although those things are really great), it’s that the conversations we get to share with you all are real and highlight members of our own community! The voices you’re hearing are those of the people who sit in the pew across from you on Sundays, whose kids are in the same class as yours, who participate in the parish Youth Group or SVdP programs at CTK… The voices you hear on The CTK Communal Climb are the same ones you hear praying along with yours during the Mass. To me, that is where the true beauty of this podcast lies: in our community coming together to share faith and life with one another.

You can find a QR code to the podcast in each week’s bulletin, or you can search The CTK Communal Climb on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, or anywhere you find your podcasts. Whether you’re a regular listener or someone who’s just curious, we welcome you to tune in and take part in this journey with us as we continue on the climb to Heaven – together!
