Mass Intentions

The celebration of the Eucharist at Mass is the greatest prayer of the universal Church. In our prayer, we gather all of our needs and present them before the Father—prayers for the Church, our world, and for our local communities and families. We also recall that praying for the living and the dead is a spiritual work of mercy, and so there is a time-honored custom of offering a special intention as part of every Mass for a particular person or group.

Christ the King welcomes Mass intentions for both the living and the dead from both parishioners and friends of the parish. Please contact Dee in the parish office to request these intentions or if you have any questions.

“We pray with the church, we pray in community and we pray in solitude. Prayer is our faith attending to the Lord, and in that faith we meet Him individually, yet we also stand in the company of others who know God as their Father.” —Constitutions of the Congregation of Holy Cross (3.23)
